RESONATE: ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’

Details

About the event

Join us on our exciting new series of RESONATE in preparation for the Jubilee Year in 2025! RESONATE is the essential preparation course for the global Catholic celebration in 2025, and what better way than to prepare with Westminster Youth Ministry!

Our keynote speaker this is world-renowned theologian Dr Pia Matthews, who will deliver the talk and lead us in some Q&A and discussion time. Find out more about Dr Pia below.

Our Holy Father Pope Francis has expressed that, “In this time of preparation, I would greatly desire that we devote 2024, the year preceding the Jubilee event, to a great “symphony” of prayer.” The theme of the Jubilee Year is ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ and so, just as we prepare prayerfully for any pilgrimage, so we will prepare prayerfully to become such pilgrims.

What better way, then, to devote the year to prayer, than to dive into the prayer that God himself taught us through the words of Jesus according to St Matthew (Matthew 6:9-13). Making our way, step by step, through the Lord’s prayer, in this session we arrive at the second petition.

Our Father, who art in heaven, / HALLOWED BE THY NAME

This month, in light of these words we will explore the theme of IDENTITY.

The evening will consist of a talk, discussion time, time for prayer and reflection, an opportunity for socialising, and refreshments (including pizza).
