Catholic groups in London and Hertfordshire

We’ve put together lots of the Catholic groups and organisations that you can get involved with in the Diocese of Westminster – from volunteer work to joining a community. You can use our filter tool below if you’re looking for something in particular.

Helpers UK

We are an international pro-life group, committed to maintaining a peaceful and prayerful presence outside the abortion clinics where our brothers and sisters are put to death. We unite ourselves with these victims, in solidarity with their pain and pray in reparation for the injustice being performed on their tiny bodies. We offer our support to mothers and fathers by providing them with literature and details of the help available. London Jesuit Centre

We aim to provide a programme of events for young adults (men and women aged 18-35) as they continue to develop on their faith journey. With Masses, socials, pilgrimages, or faith formation opportunities we like to encourage young adults in what can be a very busy world to come together in a community, take time to reflect through attending retreats, or one day sessions or ongoing courses that feed the soul. Nightfever

Nightfever meets up bi-monthly and takes place on Saturday evenings, with music and adoration. Soft candlelight and gentle, prayerful music fills the parish of St Patrick’s, Soho. Tired workers returning home, the lonely walking aimlessly, young and old seeking evening entertainment and exhausted shoppers are welcomed by Nightfever volunteers to come and light a candle in the church. Some stay for a few minutes, many others are struck by the stillness, beauty and peace. More >

It is not a ‘Thought for the Day’, a sermon or a bible-study, but rather a framework for your own prayer. More >

Salesians

We work to recognise and connect with the aspirations of the young, welcoming them – seeing our youth ministry not as a product, but as an experience of relationship – both within the formal and non-formal educative field.
